Students have to choose from a given stream (Medical,
Non-Medical or Commerce) when they move from grade
10 to grade 11.
The mid-term exams are held in August and results are
available in Early September.
The Final term examinations are held in March and the
result is declared on 31
st
March, except for classes 10 and
12.
Classes 10 and 12 are referred to as “Board Classes”. The
final term exams of these classes are organized by the
Board itself in a specific test center other than our school.
Generally, the results of these classes may be available
anytime from April to May, but for the session 2020-21,
due to covid the result was out very late in August. In
session 2021-22 the conditions are normalizing but still the
exact date of the result of these two classes is difficult to
figure out, the school hopes to get the results by April/May
2021.
At the end of each class, the student gets promoted to next
class if he is declared Pass.
Graduation date: March of every year. (But this might
change due to covid-19)
GRADING AND RANKING
The School works on the percentage-based model with
highest possible percentage being 100%.
The school year is divided into 2 terms, with both terms
having equal weightage.
The exams are held the end of each terms (half year) and at
the end of the year an average of marks in both exams
(both half yearly exams) is taken and then presented as the
final percentage of a student.
All half yearly exams are written exams of 100 marks,
except as those of classes 11 and 12. For classes 11 and 12,
80 marks written exam in taken and the remaining 20 marks
are given by the concerned subject teacher as Internal
Assessment on the basis of project works, and Lab
assignments.
The class rank of a student is calculated by taking into
consideration the final yearly percentage of the student
with the basis being the higher percentage means the better
rank in class.
The passing percentage, which is the percentage for a
student to be able to promote to next class is 35%.
